Quebec, QC, Canada, February 11, 2016 – NuRAN Wireless Inc. (“NuRAN Wireless” or the “Company”) (CSE:NUR), a leading supplier of mobile and broadband wireless solutions to connect the next billion, is pleased to announce an additional contract to supply its 5G Solution called TitanMIMO-6 to a US-based client in the wireless industry.

TitanMIMO-6 Highlights Include:

TitanMIMO-6 is the first platform to overcome two key challenges facing the wireless industry today. In order to build the Massive MIMO macrocells needed to support the tremendous amount of expected traffic in 5G, the industry urgently needs macro base stations with the following features;

  • Perfect calibration & synchronization of the antennas and the base stations
  • Bandwidth and power to process hundreds of antennas in real-time

“The purchase order confirms NuRAN’s leading position to fuel innovation in the wireless industry with our 5G Massive MIMO development system. As we continue to solidly increase the sales momentum of our indoor and outdoor 2G solutions to connect rural and remote locations, we are also confirming our position at the leading edge of mobile development” stated Martin Bedard, Co-President of NuRAN Wireless.

This order includes the provision of powerful base station prototypes supporting up to 1000 antennas as well as a reference implementation of Massive MIMO calibration and synchronization, a first of its kind.

The 5G Massive MIMO development system provided by NuRAN Wireless is an essential development tool for wireless developers to test, validate, and develop next generation wireless equipment in an environment which addresses the operators’ objectives according to Next Generation Mobile Network (NGMN).

Massive multiple input, multiple output (MIMO) is an exciting area of 5G wireless research. For next-generation wireless data networks, it promises significant gains that offer the ability to accommodate more users at higher data rates with better reliability while consuming less power.

“NuRAN Wireless fundamental strategy has always been to improve coverage and power efficiency for wireless operators. Our 5G Massive MIMO test and validation system aims to provide our clients with the most efficient solution for 5G innovation. NuRAN’s core in-house competency in engineering (Nutaq Innovations) will also play a fundamental role in accelerating our client’s project objectives.” says Francis Letourneau, Vice-President Sales and Marketing.
